There are plenty of skid schools in Belgium, on the contrary the variety in offer is more modest, and the teaching techniques are aged. Therefore Ronal Van Der Borght and Laurent Charlier decided to create a “special” drive-centre named the Driving Control Centre.

It is based on the “know how” by the years of experience that Ronald (instructor with the advanced drive centre of the Belgian Federal Police) has, and the educational feeling of Laurent who is an official qualified teacher in drive schools.
The technical knowledge and the dynamic insight of our instructors causes that the matter is approached from another point of view. The newest techniques and the latest insights are being explained and applied. The Driving Control Centre first explains the mechanisms, they will take care that all the trainees understand them and only then will the step be made to the practical controlling of the vehicle .
No one is born as “ Schumi”, but a good driver is being formed by knowledge, understanding
and capability. The motto of the Driving Control Centre listens therefore to “the smartest is the
greatest!”.
Due to the new technologies being introduced in the Automotive sector a great technical
understanding is an asset. Maarten Mertens (A1 degree in automotive engineering) who
specialised himself in vehicle dynamics and the technical aspect completes the team
perfectly.
Because now a days the traffic is very dense, aggressive and dangerous, the input of the
Driving Control Centre can only result in the gain of new knowledge, understanding and
capability which “arms” the graduates against the dangerous of “the road”. The benefits of a
good education are being carried with the graduate for decades.
